Love Yourself: Ways to Treat Yourself

You may feel guilty about it at times, but you have to learn to fight those sentiments—especially if you want to reward yourself after accomplishing a feat. Yes, you may shell out some dough, but who cares? It is your money anyway!

When it comes to treating yourself, you have to get the best—the type that will give you new experience and memories. The treats should ultimately give pleasure; they should make you happy. Here are some of the things that you can do if you want to have some indulgence.

Travel

Travel is a good way to get out of your comfort zone. Seeing other places can open up your mind and allow you to see the world from other people’s points of view. By experiencing their culture, you can grow as a person. Why not start in a first-world country like Singapore? You can attend many of their events, such as a New year countdown party.

Retail Therapy

Go ahead! But do not do it out of impulse. You have to plan it; first, make sure that you have set aside parts of your monthly income for savings and daily expenses. The remaining can be used for buying new shoes, clothes, gadgets, or even books! You can also fill your fridge with some deli or eat out at your favourite high-end restaurant.

Relax

Indulgence, sometimes, means relaxing and being pampered. You can go to your local spa and get a massage. But if your idea of relaxation is quite extreme, you can go hiking or camping with family and friends (and then get a massage once you get back!)

Be kind yourself; this should be one of the cardinal rules you should follow in your life. Treat yourself every once in a while. It will do a lot of good things for you.
